It makes no difference to us at the Flachglas Group whether we produce an artistic glass picture for a private living space or fit the meeting rooms of open-plan offices with sound-insulating glass partitions. We always attach the greatest importance to expert, personal advice and project support, secure packaging and delivery, transparent quality features, and the very highest grade of glass quality.
Flachglas Marken-Kreis is a cooperation of medium-sized, high-performance companies in Germany and Europe. Our legally and organizationally independent members produce, trade, and install branded functional glass (insulating glass, single-pane, and laminated safety glass). Their production takes place under license - in accordance with uniform system descriptions with quality guidelines and from semi-finished base glass manufacturers selected.

NorDan is among Europe's leading manufacturers of windows, doors and smart accessories. Since the founding in 1926 NorDan has been a family owned company, and is run by the same basic values as when founded.
The group's head office is in Moi in Norway, the same place the company was founded over 90 years ago. Today NorDan consists of 10 factories, 25 project management offices, more than 1800 employees.
GLASSBYGG was founded in 2007 and has been one of the largest suppliers of glass and aluminum structures in central Norway since its inception.
The company delivers and assembles both small and large projects for contractors as well as directly for building owners and private individuals.
GLASSBYG supplies and installs everything from large glass facades, new buildings, and special constructions to mirrors and screen walls.

Since its beginning MagnorVinduet has aimed to produce innovative window and door solutions with a focus on reduced maintenance and durability (60 years).
The products are developed in and manufactured in Eidskog municipality and the administration and sales departments are located in Bergen.

The story of MicroShade starts in 2003, when the company was founded as a spin-off from the Danish Technological Institute following an idea to integrate solar cells in glass facades. The solar cells were designed to promote energy-neutral air conditioning, whereby the power generated by the solar cells was used to remove surplus heat caused by high levels of solar irradiation, a well-known problem in modern glass buildings and construction.
In 2004, the idea was further developed to also include a groundbreaking passive solar shading system built into insulating glazing. The design enabled the solar shading structure to adapt to the height of the sun in the sky. Since then, the idea has been further developed and fine-tuned in close cooperation with a number of knowledge centres and architects.
In 2009, the first generation of MicroShade® was introduced to the market. The first generation of Microshade® was a steel-based structure, attached within a windowpane, providing both solar shading and incoming light, but also providing a characteristic look to the building. The first generation of MicroShade® has been installed in more than 150 buildings across 13 countries.
In 2016 development of a second generation, near invisible, polymer based MicroShade® was initiated.
In 2021 Microshade relocated to Glostrup and started construction of a production facility for the new second generation MicroShade®. At the same time the first generation MicroShade® was discontinued.
In 2023, the second generation of MicroShade® was introduced to the market. The new product uses a very small, polymer-based structure, glued to the inside of the outer glass in a glass pane, providing both solar shading and pass-through for incoming, natural light, while being almost invisible within the windows. This product is now installed in more than 100 buildings, both offices and institutions. Examples of recent installations can be seen under Portfolio.
In 2025, Nordic Alpha Partners acquired the MicroShade technology and became long term growth partners, targeting new markets across Europe and beyond.
